How to Join Christ Community
Adults interested in membership at Christ Community Church begin the process by attending our Membership Class. This 1-day class is held quarterly on a Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The class is the best way to learn about Christ Community in general and includes a deeper dive into our beliefs. Specific to our community, you’ll learn about our mission, vision, core values, and distinctives, understanding the how and why of what we do.
Leaders will walk you through what it means to be a member and how we function as a community with the goal of helping you connect and serve. All membership candidates will meet with an elder and then be admitted to membership by vote of the session.
Below is our 2024 new membership schedule.

Learn More About the Process
Children
Children ready to become communing members of the church will meet with an elder to talk about what it means to be a member of the body of Christ. Communing members are those who have made a profession of faith in Christ, have been baptized, and have been admitted by the Session to the Lord’s Table. These interviews will take place periodically throughout the year.
Students
Students (Middle School and High School) ready to become communing members of the church will meet with an elder to discuss their faith and what it means to be a member of the body of Christ. Communing members are those who have made a profession of faith in Christ, have been baptized, and have been admitted by the Session to the Lord’s Table. These interviews will take place periodically throughout the year.
Baptism at Christ Community
What We Believe
Baptism is a sacrament of the New Testament, ordained by Jesus Christ, not only for the solemn admission of the party baptized into the visible Church; but also to be unto him a sign and seal of the covenant of grace, of his ingrafting into Christ, of regeneration, of remission of sins, and of his giving up unto God, through Jesus Christ, to walk in the newness of life. This sacrament is, by Christ’s own appointment, to be continued in His Church until the end of the world. (Westminster Confession of Faith, 28.1).
Children
Members of our church who wish to present their child or children for baptism may contact Lisa Florian to begin the process. Baptisms are typically administered on fourth Sunday.
Adults
Adults interested in becoming a church member but who have never been baptized may be baptized on the same day that membership vows are taken before the congregation. To learn more, contact Lisa Florian.
