What is a Connect Group?

A Connect Group is an intentional gathering of committed and compassionate people who desire to share life and truth together. Their purpose is to grow in Christ and share his love with others so that every Christ Community member would belong, believe, become whole, and bless the world.

So, what does joining a group look like?

A glimpse into Connect Groups

Easy On/Off Ramps

Groups are designed to create robust and authentic community. At the end of the term, the group will decide if they will continue to meet. Groups will initially be created through registration based on a sign-up questionnaire aimed at gathering info on your preferences (age/stage of life, gender, meeting time and location options) for a specific group. Registration is only required for those looking to join a group or change to a new group.

Three Semester Terms

Registration windows for new group placements will take place prior to the fall and spring terms. Existing groups can continue meeting or take a break during the summer term.

Leadership & Curriculum

Each group will include a facilitator, who serves as discussion leader, and a host, who helps welcome group members and promotes community within the group. Curriculum recommendations will be provided to group leaders during each term with a desire for each group to attend to the organic nature of its needs. Any curriculum used outside of those recommended should be approved with the Connect Group Director.
