What to Expect: Safety on Sunday
We want every family to feel welcomed, cared for, and confident in our Kids Ministry. Here’s what you can expect when you arrive on Sunday.
-
Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Here's how we create a secure and welcoming environment:
Secure Check-In: When you check in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will wear a name tag, and you'll keep the matching tag, ensuring only you can pick them up.
Safe Pick-Up: To pick up your child, simply show your matching parent/guardian badge to the Christ Community Kids class leader.
Trained Leaders: Every Kids volunteer completes a background check, and is trained by our staff to provide safe, high-quality care.
Two Person Rule: There are always a minimum of two volunteers/leaders present with children.
Monitored Hallways: Our Background-checked Wing Supervisors monitor the hallways during class and service hours.
Parent Alerts: If we need to contact you, we’ll send a text or call you.
-
First-time families: A Kids host will greet you and help you fill out a form to register your child when you arrive on Sunday so that you can check in your child(ren).
Each Sunday, parents/guardians must check in your child(ren) at a Kids kiosk.
A badge will be printed for both you and your child(ren). Keep your badge with you—you’ll use it when picking up your child(ren).
-
For Sunday Classes and the Worship Service, parents/guardians pick up children directly from their classrooms.
The parent/guardian badge is required to pick up your child(ren). For those with multiple children, please keep the badge for each child’s pick-up.
If you have lost your parent/guardian badge, you must print a new one from a kiosk.
-
If your child has an allergy, please alert us when you register.
Allergies are listed on the child’s name tag so that all of our staff and volunteers are aware.
-
Every child is an important part of God’s story. We want every child to feel known, loved, and welcomed, and we partner with families to help make that possible.
For children with Special Needs, we create an individualized plan based on each child’s needs.
Communication is key, so we encourage you to contact us before your first visit so we can listen, answer questions, and prepare to welcome your child well.
If you’re unable to connect with us beforehand, simply share your child’s immediate needs when you register. We’ll follow up during the week to learn more and determine how we can best support your child.

At Christ Community Kids, we come alongside parents to help children know Jesus, grow in faith, and find their place in the life of the church. From birth through 5th grade, kids are welcomed into safe, joyful spaces where they can learn God’s Word, build meaningful relationships, and experience the joy of following Jesus.
Helping Kids Know and Follow Jesus
Learning, Growing, & Belonging
Growing in Faith Together
Journey to the Table
Faith Conversations for Kids & Parents
Next Class Starts Oct 26
Kids’ Journey to the Table is a four-week experience for children in 2nd–5th grade and their parents. Together, you’ll create space for meaningful conversations about faith, explore the gospel and what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, and learn about church membership and the Lord’s Supper.
Along the way, your child will build relationships with our church Elders as they consider taking the next step toward becoming a communing member. Each week includes a simple Think It Through lesson to continue the conversation at home.
4th & 5th Grade Discipleship Groups
A Place to belong, have fun, and grow in faith
Kickoff is Sept 9
D-Group—short for Discipleship Group—is a monthly Wednesday evening gathering just for 4th and 5th graders—a place to build friendships, ask questions, have fun, and grow in what it means to follow Jesus.
Each gathering includes games, small group conversation, and time to connect with friends. Kids are always welcome to bring a friend!
As students look ahead to middle school, D-Group helps them grow in confidence, build meaningful relationships, and develop a strong foundation for continued discipleship.
DETAILS
When: First Wednesday of each month, 6–7:30 p.m.
Where: Event Center, Main Church Building
Registration: None needed—just come!
Serve with Kids
From generation to generation, we are called to share God’s story. God gave each of us different gifts that are used to serve His Church, and serving with Kids is a rich and fun way to share your love of Jesus with Kids and to connect with others at Christ Community Church. All volunteers must complete a background check, complete all safety paperwork, and training.
There is a place for you in Kids Ministry.
