Come one, come all, to this year’s Gingerbread Fest! While C3 has hosted Banana Pudding Fest in years past, this year will mark our first foray into a gingerbread house-building competition. Think you have what it takes to take home the crown? Get together with friends and family and take your best shot at a gingerbread creation of epic proportions. Then, bring it to worship the morning of December 12 where we’ll peruse the contestants and vote on our favorites by putting your spare change (benefitting our Share Joy giving campaign) in the corresponding jars starting at 9:30 a.m. throughout the Narthex before crowning our victor. If building isn’t your thing, we’ll have ginger snaps available everywhere to help you get in the spirit and a gingerbread decorating station for kids, as well. These events are open to any and everyone, and first-time guests and visitors are especially encouraged to join us to fellowship and mingle with one another.
A few things to note:
- If you’re planning to compete, be sure to do the following:
- Email [email protected] and let us know you’re planning to build. No other info is needed other than helping us get a headcount for how many houses we need to plan to provide staging for! We ask that you kindly let us know by Friday, December 10, if you’re in.
- Bring your house to the Narthex at 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 12. That way we’ll have plenty of time to get staged, set, Instagrammed, and ready for the voting.
- Bring your spare change! The winner will be determined by who gets the most spare change in their jar, just like Banna Pudding Fest. All the proceeds will go towards benefitting our Share Joy 2021 giving campaign.
