Appalachia Mission Trip 2025
In the Rattlesnake Ridge community of McCreary County, Kentucky, several hundred Christ Community members and families, over 25+ years, have dedicated themselves to following Paul’s message to the Ephesians (2:10): "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do".
This ongoing mission supports the work of Integrated Community Ministries (KY-ICM.org) in one of the poorest counties in the US. We serve as Jesus’ hands, feet, and heart, through:
• Women’s Ministry
• Home Repair Ministry
• Vacation Bible School
We’ve had the joy of building long-term, faith-centered relationships with a community whose resources are few, where trust is fleeting, and where hearts are desperate for the love of Jesus. Unexpected, but just as rewarding benefits, include:
• Beginning new friendships and strengthening old ones with our brothers and sisters on the ridge, as well as with fellow Christ Community members.
• Growing our faith
• Teaching our kids the reward and value of service, and focusing on others, rather than ourselves.

Participation is limited to (24) women and girls, and (24) men and boys.
Age guidelines:
• Overall minimum age: rising third graders.
• Women’s Ministry: Late teens and older; married or single females only.
• Home Repair Ministry: 8 and up. Kids 8-12 will require a site leader’s approval, parent’s consent, and (1) parent’s participation on site.
• VBS: Children, rising third graders up to age 10, provided (1) parent helps with VBS daily.

Please register all family members attending the trip and return waivers, copy of insurance form (front and back), and background consent form if needed, no later than May 25, 2025.
