C3 MEMBERSHIP CLASS

Adults interested in membership at Christ Community Church begin the process by attending our Membership Class. This 4-week class is taught quarterly on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 classes hour with options for a one-day intensive offered quarterly as well.

The Membership Class includes presentation of the Gospel with a deeper dive into our beliefs. Specific to our community, you’ll learn about our mission, vision, core values, and distinctives, understanding the how and why of what we do. Leaders will walk you through what it means to be a member and how we function as a community with the goal of helping you connect and serve.

To learn more, contact Lisa Florian.

CHILDREN & STUDENTS MEMBERSHIP

Children in Elementary School ready to become communing members of the church will meet with one of our pastors for a preliminary interview. Communing members are those who have made a profession of faith in Christ, have been baptized, and have been admitted by the Session to the Lord’s Table. Contact Becky Clark (by phone at 615-468-2241 or by e-mail) to learn more.

Students (Middle School and High School) interested in membership will participate in a single-session membership intensive class and elder interview, offered periodically throughout the year. Contact Pastor Charles Johnson (by phone at 615-468-2225 or by e-mail) to learn more.

BAPTISM

Baptism is a sacrament of the New Testament, ordained by Jesus Christ, not only for the solemn admission of the party baptized into the visible Church; but also to be unto him a sign and seal of the covenant of grace, of his ingrafting into Christ, of regeneration, of remission of sins, and of his giving up unto God, through Jesus Christ, to walk in the newness of life. This sacrament is, by Christ’s own appointment, to be continued in His Church until the end of the world. (Westminster Confession of Faith, 28.1). To learn more about our beliefs on baptism watch or listen to Pastor Cassidy’s sermon, Something in the Water.

Infants and Children: Members of our church who wish to present their child or children for baptism may contact Lisa Florian to begin the process. Baptisms are typically administered on the third Sunday of the month throughout the year.

Adults: Adults interested in becoming a church member but have never been baptized may be baptized on the same day that membership vows are taken before the congregation. To learn more, contact Lisa Florian.
