2 Corinthians 9:8-9
What has Paul so exuberant, so enamored that he throws grammar to the wind and just gets caught up in praise? It’s the notion that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit extend this multitudinous, manifold grace to us in things like forgiveness, in things like the shedding of Christ’s blood, in things like predestination and election, adoption. It is grace, grace, God’s grace – grace that will pardon and cleanse from within. Grace, grace, God’s grace – grace that is greater than all my sin.
What is GRACE? We sing about it: amazing grace, marvelous grace. It’s one of those words as Christians that we know we ought to use. We talk about the grace of God -” I need grace” or “God’s been gracious to me” – but what do we really mean? Biblically, when we say the word GRACE, think of this way: God’s grace is his unmerited favor toward, acceptance of, and saving power in the lives of his people. And that’s what’s so amazing.
