PRAY FOR ME CAMPAIGN
The C3 STUDENTS PRAY FOR ME Campaign is an invitation to adult believers in our community to become prayer champions for our students.
- STUDENTS will sign up to be prayed for by 2-3 adults in our community
- ADULTS will sign up to be prayer champions for students in our community
- At our Pray for Me Campaign LAUNCH EVENT on Sunday, August 26 each student will pick 2-3 different adults and ask them to be their prayer champions. Students are asking adults who are a guaranteed YES – adults who have already signed up and are already committed to praying.
Sunday, August 26, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Event Center
At our launch event, each student will ask 2-3 adults to be their prayer champions. These adults will commit to pray for this student for the remainder of the school year using the Pray for Me guide.
PRAY FOR ME GUIDE
If you are a returning prayer champion, THANK YOU! You can reuse your Prayer Guide from last year!
If this is your first year participating, hard copies of the guide will be available at the launch event for a $10 suggested donation, OR this year you can purchase the Kindle Version on your own! Click the link below:
ABOUT THE PRAY FOR ME CAMPAIGN
The Pray for Me Campaign was born out of a question: how can we connect more adults with more young people more naturally than ever before? Believing that every young person needs a team of Prayer Champions strategically praying for them, the Chattanooga Youth Network began the Pray for Me Campaign to create a vast web of intergenerational relationships for young people and equip adult believers to pass on a sustainable faith to the next generation. Learn more about the Pray for Me Campaign history and goals.
What is the Pray for Me Campaign?
The Pray for Me Campaign is a movement designed to naturally create multi-generational relationships through prayer – A.K.A. – Adults from the church commit to being a student’s prayer champion throughout the remainder of the school year.
How do I sign up?
Both students and adults can sign up ONLINE using the links above.
*If you participated last year, we need you to sign up again this year. Adults will be matched with a new student.
What is a prayer champion?
An adult from the church who is committed to praying for a student by name, using the Pray for Me prayer guide throughout the remainder of the school year.
Who are MY prayer champions?
At our Pray for Me Campaign Launch Event on August 26, each student will pick different adults and ask them to be their prayer champions. Students are asking three adults who have already signed up and are already committed to praying.
What if I ask an adult to be my prayer champion and they say no?
They won’t. All of the adults present at the Pray for Me Campaign are a guaranteed yes! They want to be picked. They want to pray for you!
Do I have to give my prayer champion prayer requests?
No, your prayer champion is committing to praying through the Pray for Me prayer guide.
Do I have to give my prayer champion my personal information?
No, your prayer champion will only have your name. They will not receive any of your personal information.
How do I get in contact with my prayer champions?
We encourage students not to give any personal information to their prayer champions, and adults not to give the students any of theirs. Any communication between students and adults should come through the C3 Students office. If you have something for your student or prayer champion, we will gladly get it to them.
What am I committing to?
STUDENTS: You are committing to asking 2-3 adults to be your prayer champion at the launch event. Nothing else. Our hope is to simply have adults committed to consistently praying for you! ADULTS: You are committing to pray for a student – to be their prayer champion for the remainder of the school year using the Pray for Me prayer guide.
What if I can’t make it to the launch event?
That’s totally fine! We will assign prayer champions for each student.
I have more questions!
No problem, contact Alex Boyd in the C3 Students office to learn more.
