Join us this March for a special Weekend Retreat in the Smoky Mountains – think giant slumber party / laid back girls’ weekend – as we spend two nights in a huge cabin in Sevierville, Tennessee. Get ready for a fun weekend and a great opportunity to connect with women in our community and meet new people!
We’ll meet at the church on Friday, March 9 at 12:00 pm for a carpool caravan – songs, snacks, games, and conversation – and arrive early evening at the house in Sevierville.
THE BIG ELK LODGE
We’ll stay two nights in the Big Elk Lodge – a huge cabin with a gorgeous view. We’ll arrive, get settled in, and kick off with dinner and fun at the house. We’ll keep it stocked all weekend with snacks and drinks, and you can enjoy the hot tubs, games and game table, porch swings, in-house movie theatre and more!
THE SMOKIES and THE CITY
On Saturday, we’ll have an optional group hike on a nearby trail to take in some of the beautiful scenery and on Saturday Night, we’ll all head in to Downtown Gatlinburg for a fun night on the town with restaurants, shopping, museums, and more.
We’ll wake up on Sunday Morning and Worship together, then head out before noon. We’ll grab lunch on the road and arrive back home in Franklin late afternoon / early evening.

You’ll need to bring spending money for:
- dinner and shopping on Saturday night in Gatlinburg
- Sunday lunch on the road and any pit stop purchases
What if I don’t know anyone going? Well that makes this a perfect opportunity to meet new people!! Carpool seats and rooms are open – join us!
Is this for a certain age group? The house requires all guests to be 21 or older, but we’d love women from 21 to 101 to join us! We’re planning for a fun, multi-generational weekend with all ages and stages welcome!
How long is the drive? It’s 235 miles from C3 to the Big Elk Lodge – estimated driving time is just under four hours, plus gas and restroom breaks. We’ll gain an hour on the way there and lose one on the way back.
How will we get there? A carpool caravan will leave C3 at 12:00 pm on Friday. You can drive and let other women ride with you or ride in one of the cars. We’ll carpool into Gatlinburg on Saturday and on the way home on Sunday as well. Gas money will be provided to all carpool drivers. If you need to leave at a different time or drive yourself, you are welcome to do so – though we think it’s more fun to ride together!
What’s the weather like that time of year in the Smokies? Average High 61ºF / Average Low 33ºF in March
What’s the rooming / sleeping situation? The house has 16 bedrooms / bathrooms – most rooms are for 3 women (one king size bed and one futon) with a few for 6 women (three full size bunk beds). On the registration form, please indicate your sleeping preferences and anyone you’d like to room with and we’ll do our best to accommodate all requests.
What activities are available at the house? The house is equipped with two hot tubs, a pool table, an in-house movie theatre, couches, porch swings, and more. We’ll have activities on Friday and Saturday – including a DANCE PARTY on Friday Night and a Saturday afternoon group TRIVIA GAME. Feel free to bring a book and relax as well! The house additionally has free WIFI internet access. On Sunday morning, we’ll WORSHIP together at the house before heading back to Franklin.
What activities are available outside the house? We’ll offer an optional group hike on a nearby scenic trail on Saturday (weather permitting) and head into Downtown Gatlinburg on Saturday to take in the city’s shops, restaurants and attractions. We’ll offer lots of suggestions for Saturday night!
Is there financial assistance available? We have a limited number of partial scholarships available (50%) based on need. To apply, please contact Diana Batarseh.

Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis with full payment required at registration. Registration will close once all spots are filled, but please email Natalina to be placed on the Wait List.
Should you decide to cancel your registration, we can only offer a refund if we are able to fill your spot.
