Just as the body has many parts, each with a distinctive call, we believe each individual has been made with unique gifts. Sometimes those gifts are used to Care for our Region or to Care our World and sometimes the gifts are used to Care for those within our own Community.

If you attend Christ Community Church and feel called to Serve within our Church, please visit the Opportunities to Serve page on the City to find a place where you might serve.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Adoption / Foster / Orphan Care Ministry of Christ Community Church is to serve the church and the community by providing information and support for families involved in adoption and foster care.

The vision of the Adoption / Foster / Orphan Care Ministry of Christ Community Church is to support and encourage families along the journey that God calls us in caring for children.

James 1:27 “…Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Luke 9:48 “…Then he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all—he is the greatest.’”

Christ Community Church’s AFO Ministry is part of the Middle Tennessee Orphan Alliance (MTOA).

Christ Community Church believes God uses the miracle of adoption to form families and transforms lives. The Adoption / Foster / Orphan Care ministry of CCC is a community of people who have been touched by this miracle, and we want to play an active role in helping others who desire to adopt. However, the reality is that for many the financial challenges associated with adoption represent one of the greatest obstacles that they must navigate while traveling the adoption journey.

In response, CCC AFO, in partnership with Lifesong for Orphans, has established the Christ Community Church Adoption Fund. Our goal for the fund is to help as many children and families experience the blessing of adoption as our resources permit. The Fund offers support in the form of both interest free loans and matching grants. Adoption Fund Application.

Interest Free Loans

Adoptive families enter into a covenant agreement to repay the loan through manageable monthly or annual payments. Couples may utilize the Federal Adoption Tax Credit (of up to $12,150 per child) to support their loan payments.

Key Strategy – Funds become “self-perpetuating”, where loan repayments each month are re-circulated to help meet current needs of new adopting families.

Matching Grants

Dollar-for-dollar matching grants act as catalysts in raising funds. Involving the local church creates a lifelong bond between the church family and the adopted child.

Key Strategy – Catalytic tool that mobilizes and engages the Body of Christ, leveraging funds to help bridge the financial gap
