Dear Family of Faith,

As you know over the past several months I have been moving towards a new calling as an Associate Pastor at Christ Community Church.  I am happy to report that the Session has recently agreed upon a new position for me.  I will be the Pastor of Community Life and I am excited to begin this ministry as soon as possible. 

The primary work will be to continue the good job done by John Patton and others in leading the Men’s Ministry and also to organize a Community Group Leadership Team to support our existing small group ministries.  My hope is to continue working among the Deacons as well, supporting their gracious ministry of mercy to our CCC members and the community around us. 

You may not know that I will have major surgery on Monday June 20^th and will be out of commission until late July and early August.  Thank you for your prayers that I might recover quickly in order to get back to work as we all look forward to a productive and fruitful fall. 

All of you have been so generous to me and I want you to know that I am encouraged by the developments that have led to my confirmation in this new calling.  May we all grow in the Gospel of God’s grace and mercy as we learn to Worship, Care and Serve in His Kingdom.
